Gettysburg homework help.?
To anyone that knows/remembers facts about the battle of Gettysburg, I need some help.
1)What was the weather during the Battle of Gettysburg?
2)What are some strategies Longstreet believes in?
3)What health problem is General Lee suffering from before the battle?
4)What does Chamberlain complete the defense of Little Round Top with? (What did he use/do).
1, weather – a little rain on the first morning, then very very hot july 1, 2, and 3. Then rain again on July 4
2. I think he basically thought it was better to fight defensively… or to choose the ground he wanted to fight on and then wait for the enemy, rather than attack an enemy who was already dug in.
3. Lee may have had minor heart attack or stroke before he battle and many people think he probably had one during the battle, maybe the second day. If you watch the movie, they don’t talk about his health but I think there is a scene where he is talking to Longstreet and you can see him holding his am as if in pain.
4. Bayonet Charge
I didn’t look these answers up so I hope you confirm they are correct before you hand in your homework
