I just bought some eco-canteen, stainless steel, water bottles?
in order to stop using plastic. We’ve used them and nobody in the family likes the taste of the water……………it has a sort of metallic taste, like drinking from a canteen. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this taste? I don’t want to go back to using plastic for a number of reasons – but need water when you’re out & about in the desert! Thanks.
Sounds like its the materials the canteens are made from.Try giving them a vinegar soak, Vinegar neutralizes many odors and scents. If that doesn’t work for you , you may want to explore other materials.
Good luck!
