Doing some research on the The Connaught Rangers, an Irish Regiment, need some help pls!?

Hi there,
I am doing some historical research on the Connaught Rangers. My Great Grandfather fought for them during WW1 and I would like to trace his steps through the war period as he was one of the lucky ones who survived. However, unfortunately no stories were passed down. I would like to hear from anyone who has any information on them and what battles they fought in, eg the Somme? Also, how I could find out more information if possible. Many thanks

The article has a list of references (with links for those available online) and further reading. For most of those materials, print off the list of references and further reading and take it to your local library (public library or campus library, if you are a college student.) Show the list to a reference librarian and ask her/him to help you find them to read more. If the library does not hold some of the articles or books you would like to read, ask how the library staff can locate them for you at another library to borrow (InterLibrary Loan.)
