reenactors -Is fighting with an axe much different than fighting with a sword?
I know a few RPG’s will have axe fighting and sword fighting as different skill sets however for any one who fights at renfairs- do you think this is logical?

Even sword fighting is different from one sword to the next. Chinese broadsword is different from Chinese straight sword and they are both Chinese. Japanese sword, Korean sword, all European swords are all different. Just to name a very few.
