The Samsung ML 1510 Is The Peak Of Utility For Your Office
The Samsung ML 1510 Toner Cartridge monochrome printer boasts with excellent overall print quality. Text is clean and crisp and easily legible at even the smallest of character sizing. In terms of larger character printing, outlines are smooth and solid. Shading and contrasting is accurately reproduced, with only slight banding on PDF, mixed content and photo prints. Greyscale images and diagrams have a greater tendency to suffer from banding. However you should really look closely to see these slight flaws. Engine speed reaches up to 14 pages per minute for text, 14 page per minute mixed content and photo printing. Warming-up time of 30-60 seconds is required before first page production.
The printer is not fussy at all when it comes to media types and sizes. Media sizes compatible with the printer are Letter, Legal, Folio, Exec, Monarch, C5, DL, A4, A5, B5, 3×5″ and types plain, transparencies, labels, envelopes and cards. The printers’ input and output capacity is very good with 250 sheets in and 50 sheets out. For inflexible paper types a great folding paper exit is located at the back of the printer.
If you are new to computers and printers or a little technologically challenged the printer is designed especially for you. The Samsung ML 1510 Printer Toner Cartridge only has one button for operating the machines’ power supply and 2 LED screens showing errors and toner status, the rest of the functions are controlled from the users’ computer.
Getting started with Samsung ML 1510 Toner is so simple. Just pop the disc into your pc drive and install the software. Unfortunately, the plug and play function was omitted by the manufacturers.
Linux, Apple Mac and Windows operating systems are all compatible with the printer, making it appealing to a broad audience. Especially Linux and Mac users will be chuffed as these systems often encounter compatibility problems.
Only the latest interface option in the form of an USB connection is available. Older systems that still employ port connections will be of no use. USB cable is not included so make sure that you order yours with the printer.
An 1 year guarantee on service and repair is included with your purchase. Coverage in terms of parts and labour is rather limited.
Starter toner is included with your shipment or in store purchase. Replacement of the toner will be required after approximately 1000 prints. Larger sized toner will almost cost you an arm and a leg at a very expensive US$83.00 to US$150.00 with a3000 page print capacity. A super, new feature to Samsung printers is a toner saving function. The function can save you up to 25% on toner by printing at a lower resolution of 300 dpi. If darker and higher quality prints are required, just deactivate the function and resolutions will default to 600 dpi. The printer boasts with an incredible duty cycle of 10 000 prints per month.
