How would Ellen have handled the Civil War?
I have to do an essay asking if Ellen DeGeneres was president at the time, how would she have dealt with the war? I didn’t really see any flaws in how Lincoln handled the situation. I understand that he had a few mistakes with the generals he chose for the Battle of First Bull Run and choosing McClellan, but other than that, I’m stuck. What do you think Ellen would have done?
ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?!?!? I think that first off, she would have appointed Gen Mead to take command of the Army of the Potomac, but then, after First Bull Run, I think that there would have been a change of command… I am thinking that even she would have chose McClellan and things would have been the same for a while. The change would have come when, realizing that she was a female and not legally eligible to be president, the cabinet and possibly the senate would impeach her, thus leaving Andrew Johnson in charge. Now that would result in us all having spittoons in our living rooms and having uncle-cousins.
