When mounting a photography print, how much extra white space do you leave at the bottom of the matte board?
I was told that you’re supposed to leave extra space at the bottom. I’m using an 11×14 matte board with a 6×9 print.
THANKS!!
Classic black and white image mounting style is to bottom weight it a bit. Obviously centre it left to right but leave more at the bottom..perhaps 2 inches top and 3″ bottom…or 1-1/2″ & 3-1/2″. Depends on the image…
