Will The Anti-EU Brigade Be Supporting Sinn Fein…?
Strange days. Sinn Fein have apparently come out against the Lisbon Treaty and will be campaigning for a no vote in the Irish referendum. Do those of you who are against the EU feel comfortable with that? Will you be hoping that Sinn Fein succeeds in their campaign?

SINN FEIN this week launched its campaign on the proposed EU constitution, setting out 13 clear reasons why the party would be working “vigourously” for a no vote on both sides of the Irish border.
Launching the campaign in Dublin, Sinn Fein MEP Mary Lou McDonald warned that the proposed constitution would transform the EU from a body of co-operating member states into an embryonic federal state with its own legally binding constitution.
Sinn Fein’s cause was and still is a United Ireland, therefore to pass their Sovereignty to Brussels would be totally illogical.
In this respect, I feel they are pursuing a no vote with total consistency.However I am not comfortable with their history, but realise that any Allie that will defeat Brussels is not wholly a bad thing, and consequently hope that they succeed..
