He did not ask” what did you do?” but rather” where are you?” How is it that this was the question from God
to Adam and Eve?
Here are the verses.
Gen 3:7-9
” And the eyes of both of them were opened and they knew that they were naked and they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves
“And they heard the sound of Jehovah God walking about in the garden in the cool of the day and the man and his wife HID themselves from the PRESENCE of Jehovah God among the trees of the garden.
And Jehovah God called to the man and said to him” Where are you?”
Did God not know ” Physically ” where they were? What was God REALLY asking Adam?
Today, how is this applied to us. During our day as believers. Where are we? Do we have the Lord’s PRESENCE or are we swallowed up in the Trees of work, anxieties, cares, worldly traffic on our hearts making it insensitive to God’s presence, sin?
What are your ” Trees”
Where are WE?
Check out Phil 3:9.
Ty for taking the time to ponder and post on this question.
In Christ

By asking this, the Lord gave Adam the opportunity of choice.
Adam could have tried (to no avail) to hide from the Lord and not answer Him.
God gives us choices every day………….this is how it applies now.
Thank you Sandy………..for constantly keeping me on my toes with your thought-provoking, Spirit-filled questions. It is much appreciated bt me.
