What was gen.John Burgoyne’s role in causing the Revolutionary war?
i went on sites and found some info abt him.. butt nuthin provin what he did to cause the revolutionary war… if you can plz tell me some sites.. or some info that you know.. that would be great !.. thanks in advance !!
I’ve read several books about Burgoyne’s Saratoga campaign in the Revolutionary War, but I don’t remember him ever serving in North America prior to the Revolutionary War.
He apparently served in Europe during the Seven Years’ War (French and Indian War in America), and first set foot in North America in 1775.

He was a member of Parliament, however, so perhaps he supported laws hostile to the American colonies and opposed conciliatory actions to the colonies.
