Ceramic figurine repair?
My mother has a figurine that is chipped. I don’t know what it is made of specifically but I think it is ceramic. It is a fairly new figure, about five years old. It has a small chip off the top of it, about the size of a finger nail. Where would I go to get it repaired. It means alot to her and I want to surprise her by getting it fixed. What kind of shop would I bring it to. (The store where she got it is not an option since it didn’t make the figure, it just sells it) I am sure with the right kind of craftsmanship it can be repaired, I just don’t know where to go. Any ideas?
There are restoration specialists that repair broken and chipped figurines. I broke a Lladro statue and had it restored. It was expensive, but the value of the statue after it was repaired more than justified the expense. Just google (or yahoo!) ceramic repairs.
