How would I go about researching a murder that took place in the 1910s?
The event was considered a notable tragedy in the local community, but never garnered much attention outside the area. Would a local library have newspaper microfilm from that era? Would the police report still be on file anywhere?
I’m not referring to anything specific; I just need to know what information would generally still be available regarding this sort of crime.
Many of the early police records may be gone, so it would only be the community papers
