Video Games Due Out In The Coming Weeks

There’s an awesome selection of games coming out over the next few weeks.
The first of these is Fallout New Vegas, due for release in North America on the 19th of October 2010, in which you take on the role of an unfortunate courier. It is the year 2281 at the start of the game when local gangster Benny shoots you in the head and takes the package you were attempting to deliver to the town of Primm. Don’t let the bright lights fool you: New Vegas is a dangerous place. You spend the game exploring (and surviving) the arid Mojave Wasteland, as well as trying to find out the true importance of the package you were carrying.
Fable III is next up, due out on the 26th of October 2010. You are the sibling of the corrupt and tyrannical King Logan, who acquired the throne following the previous monarch’s death (Fable III is set fifty to sixty years after Fable II, and the late monarch is the Hero from the latter). Forced to become a revolutionary leader, you must gain the support of the people of Albion before overthrowing your brother and claiming the throne for yourself. The second half of the game sees you as king (or queen), where you can either be a benevolent monarch or follow in your brother’s tyrannical footsteps.
Call of Duty Black Ops is due for release on the 9th of October 2010, and as well as being a sequel to World at War is also the first the Cold War era Call of Duty game. You assume the role of a foot soldier, alternating between the two characters of Alex Mason and James Hudson who are Studies and Observation Group operatives. You find yourself in locations behind enemy lines in such as Laos, Cuba, the Ural Mountains and Vietnam, but if that all gets too much for you then limited editions of the game offer four zombie maps from World at War if you want a nice, brain-munching break
