How did the American public react to the outcome of the Civil War in China and Korean War and why??!?
as a result of the civil war in china, the communist party took over. the american public, which was currently going through its anti-communist phase (post WWII, cold war, etc), probably felt frightened that this victory meant that communism was spreading.
they might have felt slightly better when the korean war ended in a stalemate and communists did not take full control. however, because of american troop involvment, they might also have been angry/sad for their army’s losses.
