Could someone read quickly through this Civil War report really quick?
It’s a report about the Civil War, it’s a diary entry & YES some information is made up. The character is fictitious of course. :
(The battle of First Bull Run)
July 21st, 1861:
Due to this being my first diary entry, I shall introduce myself if anyone were to find this diary. My name is Drake Vean Diversity. I am 18 years old. I was forced by my parents to recruit as a infantry for the Union Army. Today, we were woken up suddenly by Gen. Irvin McDowell to go into battle with the CSA (Confederacy) The battle started roughly around four in the morning, & ended at about four P.M. We were utterly & disgracefully routed, beaten, & whipped by the secessionists (Confederacy). The battle made it clear to us (Union) & the CSA that this war would potentially be much longer & bloodier than we had originally anticipated.
As I said, this is just a diary entry.
Sooo the real question is,
is this alright?
