Civil War Jayhawkers

civil war jayhawkers
PLEASE! i need help with analyzing this civil war quote, i have 3 theories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

the quote:
“I, John Brown, am now quite certain that the crimes of this guilty land will never be purged away but with blood.”

Note: John Brown said this right before he was hanged for Harpers Ferry (where he attempted to steal a bunch of slaves and killed people, i think)

does this quote mean…

A) that the only way slavery will be abolished is with war/blood shed
B) that his cause/spirit will live on by other jayhawkers (abolitionists who kill/steal slaves) even after john brown is dead
C) that the people who own slaves should be killed for it
D) any other analysis you have…….

either A or B would be correct. However A is more correct than B.

what he’s saying it that, to abolish slavery, blood will be spilled. (not that its necessary, but that it will happen)

so I guess A
