Tour Of East Coast Paintball Facilities
Paintball Adventures located in Jacksonville, Florida is open on Saturdays and Sundays and also on the weekdays by reservation only. The facility has been in business for over 17 years and includes seven wood ball fields and 2 speed ball fields. Paintball Adventures features several different rental packages with enough equipment to rent to 400 players. None of the rental packages include paint. If you have your own equipment, you must purchase the paint from the facility. The designs of the paintball fields are great for scenario play. While in Jacksonville, take time to visit the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, home of the Land Shark.
Sledgehammer Paintball is located 15 minutes west of Buena Vista, Georgia. This facility is a family friendly business that caters to both the individual and private groups. Boasting 3 different scenario playing fields and one speedball field, it has also hosted several Army Units based at Fort Benning. Rental equipment is available for those that have not purchased their own or are very new to paintball. No outside paintballs are allowed, only those purchased at the Sledgehammer store. After a fun day on the paintball field, don’t forget to visit the Elvis Collection Museum in town.
Extreme Sports Paintball is located in Six Mile, South Carolina. This place has a wood field with different scenarios, with a speedball field as well. They offer gun and protection rental and the paintballs must be purchased separately and from the location only. They host scenario games once a month and currently are home to two teams. Don’t forget to visit some of the surrounding attractions in Six Mile including the Pickens County Museum of Art and History.
Southwest Paintball is in Jacksonville, North Carolina. This facility has 2 speedball fields and a woods field and boasts an urban combat scenario field. Open on Saturdays and Sundays, they cater to both the walk-on player and private groups. Rental fees include the price of paintballs and the individual with their own equipment may bring their own paintballs. Southwest Paintball is home to 4 teams and is currently hosting tournaments. While in Jacksonville, take a side trip of about 12 miles and visit the Onslow County Museum in Richlands. It follows the history of Onslow County and has a growing artifact collection.
Amelia Paintball Park in Chesterfield, Virginia is located south of Richmond and features 1 hyper ball field, 2 wood fields, 1 xball field and 2 air ball fields. There are several different rental packages to choose from that feature different markers in each package. These packages also include the paint cost and individual that own their own equipment are allowed to bring their own paintballs. There are group rentals available for any occasion; birthday parties, bachelor parties, or corporate events. Amelia Paintball Park is currently hosting tournaments and is available for Paintball Teams to host their own tournaments. Make sure that you take the time to visit some of the historical places in and around Richmond. A great place to visit is the Richmond National Battlefield Park Civil War Visitor Center. Learn about the capital of the Confederacy and visit some of the more famous Civil War battlefields.
