I need help with choreography.?
Put simply, I have been dancing for about six years and have a song that I want to put choreography to. The problem: In all my time dancing I have never danced contemporary, (The kind of dance that I feel fits my song). Also I have no experience with choreographing pieces and I’m not sure how to make the costumes. The song is a spliced song taken from Civil War. It’s called Tell my Father. I have the dancers to preform the piece and the hats but I want both a confederate and a union jacket. I know this is a big and hard question but I could really use the help. Thank you in advance.
well i would start off just messing around and dancing to the music and that will lead you to moves that you like for specific parts and then you can put them all together in an interesting combination. i think this will really fill you dance with emotion and will make you more passionate about dancing to the song.
