Is it worth it to visit Atlanta’s Cyclorama by the zoo. And which is better Atlanta History or Fernbank?
will be my husband and I and our two teen age sons.
also, what do you think of the southern museum of civil war and locomotive history?
thanks!
Fernbank will be intersting for the kids. That’s the science museum and where the dinosaurs are.
Cyclorama depicts the history of the civil war battles in Atlanta using scale models and film. The exhibit is old and probably dated.
The Atlanta History Center is a nice exhibit if you are into local history.
If you are really into Civil war history it would be worth the trip to the Southern museum. It’s also close to the Kennesaw Mountain battlefield which you should also visit if you make the trip to the Civil War and Locomotive museam. This was the site of the last big battle before Sherman rolled into Atlanta.
If I was only going to choose just one I’d go to Fernbank.
