i recently got a Springfield M1905 bayonet?
it was made in 1906 by RIA. does anyone know what it is worth? i am also looking for an AUTHENTIC scabbard for it. if you know where to find one please tell!
The first 2,100 1905 bayonets made by R.I.A. are dated 1906 and have no serial number on the reverse side of the blade . These bring a premium over other ones made the same year . In original finish and condition they will fetch a good $250 to $300 without scabbard . If not but still 16 inch and in good condition it should bring around $150 to $125 . If shortened then it becomes just another U.S. bayonet and worth $75 or so . Does it still have the original wood grips ? If they were replaced with plastic for WWII use then your best bet is to get you a M3 scabbard as they are less expensive then the M1910 scabbards if it is still 16 inch . If shortened you need a M7 scabbard and all these can be found on Ebay .
